Tobias Ehnis于1965年生于德国卡尔斯鲁尔。在柏林自由大学完成生物化学的学业后，他在柏林本杰明富兰克林大学医院从事医学研究。他的研究重点在于细胞生物学、受体-配基相互作用的分析以及受体及其配基的提纯和表征。
